Bio

Mette is a freelance documentary photographer who was born in Denmark and brought up in Spain, later she lived in London. She is currently based in the greater Los Angeles area.

Her passion is sharing peoples stories that are connected to sociopolitical, cultural and climate change issues that too often ignored by mass media. She believes that we are all connected and share a common purpose, and photography is a way to allow this connection to reach beyond physical boundaries and look into people's lives with respect. Mette’s work is about helping us feel compassion and understanding for each other.

She is currently working one long term project about Climate change in California, that is being done as part of a mentorship with James Estrin and Ed Kashi.

She has also worked extensively on women's rights and gender equality. Included labor rights and migration in the U.S

To date she has worked in collaboration with NGOs, and women's rights activists  in India, Thailand, Cambodia, Guatemala, Morocco, Indonesia and the United States.

She is also a regular contributor on @everydayclimatechange
